The Wesleyan Summer Gifted Program is a two-week, overnight, academic and social experience for the gifted in rising grades 5 - 12. Students attend advanced classes in mathematics, physics, computer science, creative writing, literature and history. Students are housed in campus dorms and are supervised by experienced counselors. They have structured days and free time in the evenings, with study time and opportunities to engage in sports, yoga, movies, and games, attend guest speakers and musicians, and put on a talent show. West Virginia Wesleyan College is a beautiful campus located in the heart of rural West Virginia. Students are welcome to use the extensive facilities, including tennis courts, track and field, indoor swimming, and a new performing arts center. Established in 1983, the classes in this STEM program are taught by professors who delight in working with students in this particular age range and with the peculiarities that come with being gifted. Small classes are adjusted to fit the needs of even very advanced students. There is nothing like this program, which is the most affordable in the country. Attendees return year after year and give rave reviews. Students must qualify as gifted for admission to the program. For more information, visit the website at
