A one-of-a-kind summer camp experience!
Gifted students interested in a challenging academic summer program should consider attending the Davidson THINK Summer Institute on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. This intense three-week residential summer program offers exceptionally gifted students, ages 13 to 16, the opportunity to earn up to six college credits.

In order to be eligible an applicant must:
• be 13–16 years of age during THINK
• be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident living in the United States
• commit to being a full-time student throughout the program
• receive one positive nomination as specified in the application
• submit an SAT or ACT score report

Due to the intense nature of the program, the Davidson THINK Summer Institute is limited to a select number of students. Applicants must demonstrate both exceptional ability and the potential to benefit from the course offerings, as well as the social and emotional maturity and organizational skills to thrive in this three-week residential environment.

Location & Housing:
The Davidson THINK Summer Institute is held on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, which is located in the heart of northern Nevada. Long known as “the campus on a hill,” the University is a picturesque campus of green lawns, red-brick academic buildings and towering trees. Each participant shares a room and bathroom with one or two other students on a private, locked floor in the one of the University’s newest residence hall and all students are supervised by THINK staff members. Participants eat all meals in the Down Under Caf , which offers menus designed to meet the needs of all diners.

Extracurricular Activities:
In addition to the full-immersion academic experience, participants also take in a number of cultural events in the Reno-Lake Tahoe area. Students also enjoy many on-campus activities, especially playing kickball in the Quad and spending relaxing weekend afternoons playing games with their friends.
